•Chamblee Tucker Kroger: sale proteins and sale cheeses from Murray's
•Singleton Kroger: sale seafoods
•Lidl: good general pricing on proteins, cool weird stuff in the misc aisle, some good deals in frozen
•Nam Dae Mun: good prices on fresh seafood and proteins, good prices on veg but limited selection, good selection of Mexican dried chiles. Main location in Duluth is the best one, and it also has a large selection of smallwares upstairs (cooking utensils)
•BuHi Farmer's Mkt: BEST veg selection in town, BEST Pan-Asian ingredient selection in town, great selection of tortillas and dried Mexican herbs/spices, big selection of meats and seafoods
•Dekalb Farmer's Mkt: Great veg selection, lots of dry grains/flours/pastas cheap, great prices on Greek Olive Oil, BEST prices in town for dried herbs/spices, nice seafood selection, great cheese selection and good prices on beer/wine

In addition to FINDING deals, I strongly suggest getting a chest freezer and a vacuum sealer to keep all your proteins perfectly intact. My chest freezer was about $170 (years ago!) and it’s paid for itself at least 10x over. A vacuum sealer is less than $50 and truly works to keep proteins burn-free. It’s amazing how easy it is to make a meal when you’ve got all sorts of proteins to choose from!
These deals and tools are how we eat so well and how I can cook so many dishes on the fly. We are frugal by nature, and it truly will improve what you eat when you’ve got things on hand. :)
